Newborn Photography in Gauteng

As a mother myself, I can tell you that those first few weeks of baby’s life seem to truly go by way to fast. As a professional photographer, I can tell you that a newborn baby photography session will make sure that you capture those special moments in beautiful photos that you can look back on fondly 20 years from now.

What you take home

Depending on the newborn photography package that you chose, you would receive some or all of the following:

• DVD: You would receive a DVD containing all of the photos taken at the photo shoot. The photographs are saved in high resolution so that they are of superb quality when viewed or printed.
• Special effects: I will apply different special effects to a certain amount of photographs. One of the more preferred special effects is black and white.
• Prints: I do provide A4 and A5 prints of a few choice photographs for you.
• Coffee table book: This is a favourite among clients. A coffee table book is created for you containing the photographs taken of your newborn baby printed on photographic paper. You can also choose between a leather cover or a printed cover.

Newborn photo shoot poses

Newborn babies are extremely supple and flexible so we can comfortably manoeuvre them into the cutest little poses for the baby photo shoot.  This is generally not the case after the baby is two weeks old. It is usually recommended that parents book the newborn photo shoot before the baby is ten days old.

Contrast photographs are also quite popular in newborn photography sessions. Photographs contrasting the tiny nature of the baby’s hand with that of the father’s would be an excellent example of this.

During the photo shoot

Your baby’s photo shoot will take place at my home studio in Centurion, Pretoria. It is professionally set up to accommodate newborn baby photography and I have all the necessary equipment – and backdrops – to make sure your baby’s photo album looks pristine.
